Idaho Botanical Garden Reviews

I was in a bit of a rush, probably because I waited too long to go, but the restrooms were easy enough to find. Didn’t have to wander around or ask anyone, so that was a relief.

I went to the event and it felt kinda unorganized. The setup was messy and it wasn’t super clear where to go or what was happening next. It could’ve been a lot smoother with better planning, but it was still okay overall.

I was really hoping for some fun seasonal displays, but there was barely anything there. It felt so empty and sad, like the holiday spirit forgot to show up entirely. I left feeling way more disappointed than I expected.

I was excited to get some nice pictures, but it got frustrating fast. The place was so crowded that every time I found a spot, someone walked into the frame, and the angles just weren’t working for me. It looked promising at first, but I ended up feeling kind of disappointed

I went in hoping it would be fun, but I left feeling like I probably wasted my money. The place was packed, the setup was confusing, and the music was so loud it was hard to enjoy anything. Kind of regretted going, to be honest

Took my two kids for a day out and they had such a good time. They kept stopping to look at every little flower and tiny path, and I noticed myself doing the same. There were lots of little corners to poke around in, which made it feel easy and relaxed instead of rushed. We spent a calm afternoon there and nobody got bored, which is always a win

I visited the Idaho Botanical Garden and it was definitely peaceful, with some really flowers and quiet spots to walk around or sit for a bit. I liked that it felt clean and relaxing, and it was nice not feeling rushed. That said, I was a little disappointed because I expected there to be more to see or maybe a bit more variety throughout the garden. It’s still a nice place to spend a calm afternoon, but I left feeling like it didn’t quite live up to what I had hoped.

My snap judgment when I walked in was that the garden was gorgeous, and it held up. We rented the space for a small event and it looked really nice. The staff was helpful and easy to deal with, though the setup directions were a little unclear at first. Once we figured that out, everything went smoothly. Guests kept mentioning how much they liked the space, so overall I’d call it a good experience

I ended up liking the gift shop more than I thought I would. It had a nice mix of garden things, local-ish gifts, cards, and little stuff that was easy to tuck in a bag and bring home.

Some prices were a bit high on a few items, but not like, totally ridiculous. I still found a couple cute gifts and didnt mind paying a little extra. I'd probaby stop in again after walking around the garden.

It’s a really place and I enjoyed walking around for a bit. The scenery is nice and it has a calm vibe. Then suddenly it was like, okay, now what? My younger kids got bored quickly, so it wasn’t quite the family outing I was hoping for.

They had a lot of different plants to check out, and some of the collections were actually cool. I enjoyed wandering around and seeing the variety. That said, a few areas felt a little underwhelming or not as well put together as others, so it wasn’t amazing across the board. Still, overall it was a neat visit.

I got turned around quick, and the signs didn’t really help much. Just made the whole visit more annoying than it needed to be.

I gave it 5 stars because the walking paths really are pleasant. They’re easy to follow, clean, and it wasn’t too crowded when I went, which made it a nice place to just slow down and get some fresh air.
I did feel a little dismissed when I asked a quick question, like I was kind of bothering someone, but the park itself was still really enjoyable. You can wander around without feeling lost, and there are some shaded, quiet spots where you can stop for a bit.

I used idahobotanicalgarden.org to check the hours before visiting, it was exactly as easy as it should be. The schedule was right there, so I could quickly figure out what days and times worked without clicking around forever.

It was also handy for planning around events because I definitely didn’t want to show up at an awkward time. Everything I needed was easy to find, it saved me a phone call, and I’d give it 5 stars

I went to see the winter lights and overall it was a nice time. Some of the displays were really pretty, especially the trees and the smaller paths, and it had a cozy feel for walking around for about an hour.
That said, it was more crowded than I expected, and a few spots felt kind of dim or not that exciting. Parking was also a hassle, and I didn’t bother asking staff for help because I never really trust customer service to give a straight answer in places like this. Not a bad night out, just didn’t feel amazing for the price. Probably a 3-star visit for me...

I got a membership this year and, it’s been worth it for me. Like, if you end up going more than a couple of times, it basically pays for itself, so that’s nice. I really like being able to just stop by for a walk whenever without, you know, having to think about buying tickets each time. Some of the events still cost extra, which I kind of wish had been a little clearer upfront, but overall, yeah, it’s a good deal and the garden is always a really nice place to visit.

I went to a concert here recently and left feeling a little disappointed. The venue itself is nice, but the whole night felt kind of unorganized. The lines moved really slowly, the sound wasn’t as clear as I expected, and getting out of the parking lot afterward was a mess. I heard a few people around me saying similar things, so I’m curious if it was just that night or if others have had the same experience.

We had a nice visit overall. The volunteers were super friendly and helped us figure out where the trail started, which was good because the signs were kind of confusing. I kept feeling like the signs could’ve been clearer, and we probably would’ve wandered around a bit without someone pointing us the right way. They also answered all my random plant questions like it was no big deal. Really nice people, just wish the trail signs were better because that was definitely a little frustrating.

Pretty calm little garden. Good for a quick picnic or just sitting around. The shaded areas were nice, but once it got busy, seats were kind of hard to find. Still a decent place to hang out for a bit

Took my kid to one of the educational programs. The garden was nice and the staff were friendly, but the class felt kind of rushed and a little scattered. We learned a few things, just thought it would be more hands-on. Overall, it was fine.
